This is a safari felt mobile I have made. I have two of them. This is not only handmade but totally hand sewn. It includes a hippo, giraffe, elephant, lion, alligator, palm tree and two hibiscus flowers. It is perfect for any child's room!!

This is a pillow I made. I saw this fabric and absolutely HAD to have it!! I loved it! The pillow is 15 in x 15 in and has a white pom pom trim and backed with a contrasting red broadcloth to match the red on the front. The fabrics have been prewashed.

This is a onesie I made. This is a 3-6 month old size decorated with flowers I made by hand. Below is a tank top I made, again, decorated with the handmade flowers. I have all different colors of flowers and then I arrange them together based one what looks best. I will also have another tank top made soon with the flowers but just arranged differently so check back to see more!!

I have been a sewing machine

So summer is here and I am finally settled into my new place and able to get back to the sewing. Things have been exciting! I have had a request to make customized dog accessories for a client which I have been working on but also have been working on a few other things. Every time I sit down to create something new, no matter what it may be, I feel so relaxed and I realize more and more, how much I want to do this for a living! I am using my dog Eartha as a model which is a difficult task to do with a 2 year old JRT who is obsessed with chasing anything that moves! The cape velcros in front and is adorned with decorative jeweled button in front. It is made of a dark pink velvet and backed with a cute cotton fabric in light pink.

This is a tutu I customized as well. I still have to jewel it with sequins but it velcros underneath for easy dressing. It is made with a light pink and light peach tulle.

New Summer Works!

So it is summer time and being a teacher is very helpful right now because school is out. This means I can dedicate my summer to creating and sewing new things!! I have lots of ideas in my head and here is just the beginning. I made this today. The humming bird is an original water color that I painted and then transferred onto the shirt. The flower is detachable and comes in a variety of colors. I can do this shirt on short sleeve or tank top if desired. If interested in purchasing please let me know!! Long sleeve is $30.
